Q: Doesn’t an ‘Escape Room’ mean that you are you locked in?
A: Nope, that was just early escape rooms stereotypes in Russia or something. A better name for the experience might be Puzzle fun room, or even Puzzle Adventure! You are not locked in at Timepass at any time. We just try to keep you so interested that you won’t want to leave.
Q: How long do Timepass events take?
A: You have a 1 Hour scheduled time slot that starts exactly on time, so please ensure all members of your group arrive early.
Q: Is there a late policy
A: If you arrive late, you and your group can still start, but you start with the clock already running. The experience still ends at the end of your scheduled time slot. You will not be allowed to go over since that is someone else’s time slot.
Q: Does Timepass have any restrictions?
A: Timepass is an experience where focused high level reasoning skills are required to solve puzzles based on clues. These experiences cannot be designed for every disability in mind and are in general only suitable for healthy, mobile adults with full faculties. As doing a puzzle room can be an excitable experience for players, we do not recommend Timepass for those with service animals.
Our specific restrictions:
- No one under 12 is allowed as a player.
- No emotional support pets are allowed.
- No one may play or stay on the property without agreeing to our waiver.
Q: How do I sign up for a Timepass event?
A: Timepass has an online reservations system. You can find us at TimepassAuburn on Facebook and on our website at TimepassAuburn.com.
Q: What should I bring or not bring to my Timepass event?
A: Please bring your well rested self and your friends. Please remember any glasses, readers, hearing aids, etc. Please do not bring any food or drinks to your event.
Q: How do I ask a question about a puzzle or prop while in the room?
A: Actually you don’t have to. There will be a Moderator watching your group via web cameras throughout the escape room and they will give you prerecorded ‘hints’ if they see or hear that you are stuck. Each hint will be delivered with a prefacing beeping noise and then a pre-recorded in-character voice will deliver some information designed to help focus your group’s thinking. You should not expect hints like “The safe is behind the picture on the right”, but you may get a hint like, “That picture on the wall seems a little odd. Is it just me or is it sticking out too far?”

So please do Not send us ideas for specific new puzzles or scenarios as we have already done work on many different themes and techniques and we cannot tell you which things we already have in the works.
